I'm Nikita Patsakula, a CTO and engineer based in Moscow. For the last eight years I've been building high-load search and analytics systems — mostly in Rust.

As CTO at Cognito I own the whole tech stack: infrastructure, hiring, and the architecture of data collection and analytics pipelines. Before that, at Kribrum, I built the core of a search and analytics system doing streaming and offline search across billions of documents, led the team that built the fastest open-source morphological analyzer for Russian, and worked on semantic and cluster analysis systems.

I work at the intersection of systems programming and ML: I've ported the Rust compiler and a DBMS to Elbrus, and optimized GGML and libtorch for large-scale inference. I currently develop Svod, an open-source tensor framework for running ML models and LLMs.
